If you are environmentally-conscious you will want to express this at all times. Weddings are known for being a time when people spend and truly overspend on so many items. Truly people buy much more than they will ever need in most cases. There is often a bit of waste of goods and materials when it comes to any wedding. So being conscious of what you purchase as a wedding gift is very important, as you can buy “green” and still please the bride and groom very much. Linens and fabrics that are organic can be quite luxurious and a lovely treat. Any couple celebrating a wedding would certainly enjoy receiving organic linens of any type. These linens would be used and re-used for a very long time.

Another thing to consider when giving green gifts for weddings is the gift wrapping itself. Many people are very conscious of obtaining a green gift, but then they rush out and place non-recycled paper and lots of ribbon on the gift. Save the earth and the environment! Look for gift wrapping that has been created with recyclable paper. Get creative and think of ways you can create your own gift wrapping, perhaps with a piece of fabric to look extra fancy. Or use a foreign language newspaper to look even more exotic. Top your gift with a sprig of holly or several flowers to make it look like the celebration that a wedding truly is. You can totally celebrate a wedding while staying true to your environmentally conscious beliefs.
